| ART I 1701 CREDITS: 5 per semester PREREQUISITE: NONE GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The students will create expressive images using a variety of media, understand and appreciate works of art from different cultures, places, and times, and learn to analyze and evaluate both their own and other's art productions. MODE OF PRESENTATION: Lecture, discussion, film presentation, demonstration. COURSE INTENDED FOR: 9th-12th ART II 1702 CREDITS: 5 per semester PREREQUISITE: ART I GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Students will experience the expressive process, using additional techniques and mediums, do more advanced work with that materials, covered in Art 1, be given the opportunity to choose more independent approaches to the assignments, and be exposed to more art and artists MODE OF PRESENTATION: Lecture, discussion, film presentation, demonstration, Internet information COURSE INTENDED FOR: 10th-12th ART III 1703 Credits: 5 per semester PREREQUISITE: Art 1 and 2, or by permission by the instructor GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Advanced Art offers a greater amount of freedom in creative expression. Experimentation in various media is encouraged. The student is able to spend a greater amount of time working in areas of special interest. |
