| YEARBOOK 1543 CREDITS: 5 PER SEMESTER PREREQUISITE: JOURNALISM AND COMPUTERS - AT LEAST A C AVERAGE IN ENGLISH COURSES or COUNSELOR APPROVED GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The students will be taught yearbook production procedures: photography, cropping, sizing, enlarging and reducing pictures, acceptable yearbook production styles, interviewing, gathering data, writing the story and selection of photographs. Basic salesmanship procedures: meeting goals and deadlines, meeting the prospective advertisement or yearbook customer, using salesmanship philosophies and psychology?s to make a sale and selling oneself and presentation of ones ideas. MODE OF PRESENTATION: Each student will learn by example set by the instructor, and by actually doing the project. COURSE INTENDED FOR: 11th-12th STUDENT AIDE 2201-2220 2231-2244, OFFICE AIDE 2200, ELEMENTARY AIDE 2222 CREDITS: 3 PER SEMESTER PREREQUISITE: SENIOR WITH GOOD CREDIT STANDING TOWARD GRADUATION. APPROVAL OF COUNSELOR AND INSTRUCTORS. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The student will be asked to help with jobs in the main office, library, principal's office, Supt. Office, Counselor's Office.
