PE I 1601 CREDITS: 5 PER SEMESTER PREREQUISITE: NONE GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Students will develop strength, coordination, and endurance through the use of organized games and lifetime sports. There will be an emphasis on good health and safety. Also sportsmanship will be stressed. MODE OF PRESENTATION: A short lecture with demonstration followed by question and answer time. The students then will practice the skill or game COURSE INTENDED FOR: 9th PE II 1602 CREDITS: 5 PER SEMESTER PREREQUISITE: NONE GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Students will develop strength, coordination, and endurance through the use of organized games and lifetime sports. There will be an emphasis on good health and safety. Also sportsmanship will be stressed. Written research papers assigned for each unit intended to stress history and rules of the game or activity. MODE OF PRESENTATION: A short lecture with demonstration followed by question and answer time. The students then will practice the skill or game COURSE INTENDED FOR: 10th WEIGHTS 1609 CREDITS: 5 PER SEMESTER PREREQUISITE: NONE GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The students will be taught proper and safe lifting techniques. The student will develop strength and condition by set-rep lifting guided by the teacher. The students will learn to respect their bodies and be the best they can be. MODE OF PRESENTATION: Example of proper techniques and set-rep design. COURSE INTENDED FOR: 9th-12th |
